Style as Self Expression Circle
An intimate six week virtual journey to unlearn old rules, play into new possibilities and rediscover yourself through what you wear.
Clothing is never just clothing.
It carries our histories, habits, and hopes. It helps us hide, belong and be seen. It’s a way of remembering and expressing ourselves.
A ritual.
A rebellion.
An act of empowerment.
In this circle, style is our medium for unlearning old rules, reconnecting with what feels alive, and experimenting with how we want to show up in the world.
Together, we’ll explore what it means to dress in ways that reflect who you are and are becoming, not just who you’ve been told you’re supposed to be.
Our Journey Together
-
Week 1
Style as Self Expression
How do you want to feel in your skin and your clothes? What old pressures can you release?
Together we’ll play with tearing up inherited style commandments and building altars of color and fabric that feel alive. -
Week 2
On Memories & Materials
What stories are woven into your clothes? What garments helped you disappear, belong, or feel at home?
We’ll trace the threads of who you’ve been and what you’ve carried and collage a timeline of your style journey from childhood to now. -
Week 3
The Colors & Textures of Emotions
Which colors feel like truth, healing, or power? What textures soothe or spark you?
We’ll learn the languages your body already speaks and design personal color palettes and texture boards. -
Week 4
Identity & Becoming
What would your future self wear if there were no rules?
We’ll experiment with the self that’s arriving, try on unreasonable fashions and sketch, paint, or thrift our “next chapter” outfits. -
Week 5
Visibility & Voice
Where do you crave visibility? Where do you resist it?
We’ll choose when and how to be seen, wear bold outfits that push our edges and reflect on how it feels to be seen in new ways. -
Week 6
Dressing Forward
What rituals will help you keep dressing as a practice of becoming? How do you want to celebrate your visible self?
We’ll weave what' we’ve discovered into a story you can wear, create and share style stories and talismans, then closing with a collective ritual of visible becoming.
Dear Wonderful Human,
This is a pilot experience that will be part workshop, part lab, part playground. We’ll co-create a space to:
Share stories about our histories with style (the rules we inherited, the wounds we carry, the freedoms we long for)
Play with practical experiments that both get us out of our comfort zone and notice what feels authentic in our bodies
Reflect together on what style might open up or empower in our lives
This experience isn’t about better adhering to a set of style rules. It’s about finding your style - the colors, textures, and pieces that feel like home to you. My hope is that you’ll leave excited to dress each day and with new ways of listening to and honoring yourself through what you wear.
And since this is the first run of this experience, you’ll help shape how we move through it together.
I can’t wait!
Love, Alice
For You If You…
Want to use personal style as a way of embracing and exploring who you are.
Wish you felt inspired and empowered when you look in your closet.
Are ready to come out more visibly in the world in some way and want to dress to support this.
Are willing to experiment, play, and share reflections in a small group.
Not A Fit If You…
Are looking for a quick fashion makeover, style tips, or to “have your colors done.”
Want prescriptive “rules” about what to wear.
Aren’t open to reflection, creative play, or experimenting outside your comfort zone.
Fashion sense, an eye for color or an expansive clothes budget not required. Just bring your curiosity, willingness to play, and some basic art supplies. Together we’ll discover how to use style as a medium for empowerment and self-expression.
