We’re a constellation of modern day witches, weavers, and wayfinders from diverse backgrounds.  Each of us brings our own texture to the tapestry.

What connects us? We're all renaissance souls who love to make things, believe in community, and want to reweave the cultural fabric of our lives one moment at a time.

Alice Chen

Founder & Facilitator of Aliveness

I’m a studio steward, creative guide, and unlearning companion for sensitive souls and cultural shapeshifters. I create spaces where creative courage, soulful connection, and radical reimagining can take root — through art-making, embodiment, and collective care.

My work is grounded in over 15 years of experience at the intersection of education, somatics, adult development, and design. I’ve trained in trauma-informed facilitation, expressive arts, and ontological coaching — but my deepest lessons have come from holding space for brave humans in the midst of becoming.

Draws inspiration from:
Polynesian wayfinding, K-dramas, and the joy of making things by hand.

Most likely to:
Color-code her yarn stash, cook homemade gluten-free ramen, and drop a metaphor that reorients your whole creative compass.

Megan Rossi

Artist & Finder of Everyday Magic

I'm a maker, a collector of beautiful trash, and a believer that the things we create together can remake us. I help people discover joy through their hands — transforming what's been discarded into something worth keeping, turning the ordinary into connection.

For years, I've moved through the worlds of people and culture, philanthropy and organizational life — but I've always been most alive when I'm making something with my hands, especially alongside others. Through found object art, upcycled creations, and spaces where we can explore together, I create invitations to reimagine what's possible when we slow down, pay attention, and play.

Draws inspiration from:
Nature's treasures, my mom's preschool teacher magic, California landscapes, and the belief that one person's trash is always another's treasure.

Most likely to:
Sport punk rock hair and big statement earrings in a board meeting, make you a pair of earrings from something you were about to throw away, and stop mid-walk to collect sticks that "just have good energy."

The Unlearning Studio
is a living space.

From the beginning, we’ve carried the vision of becoming a co-held field — a circle of people, each bringing their own gifts, perspectives, and practices - to uplift others. Our community of co-hosts and facilitators continues to deepen and expand. We are always open to new collaborators and voices around the table.

An invitation to collaborators...

The Unlearning Studio is meant to be a shared table, with many chairs, many hands, many ways of creating and unlearning together.

If you feel a resonance — if something in you whispers yes, I could belong here — we’d love to hear from you. This isn’t an application, just an opening. A way of saying: I feel the pull.

Your inbox deserves more than noise - it deserves
