In an AI-accelerated, polarized world, what makes us irreplaceable is our humanity.

The ability to listen deeply. Navigate complexity. Build relationships across difference. Hold tension without fracturing. These foundational human skills matter more than ever.

And yet most organizations are better at teaching new skills than unlearning the habits that quietly undermine them: The urgency reflex. The performance culture. The patterns of working that once made sense and now get in the way.

At The Unlearning Studio, we work differently. We create practice spaces where leaders and teams don't just learn about being human together — they actually practice it.

What We Offer

We don't do PowerPoints about skills. We DO create spaces where teams actually practice being human together.

Why “hands-on” and “creative”?

Because the habits that most limit teams aren't intellectual problems; they're embodied ones.

You can't think your way out of a communication pattern or workshop your way past a trust deficit. You have to practice your way through it.

Sometimes this means difficult conversations. Sometimes it means creating things together — with our heads, hearts, and hands. Often it means both at once.

Unlearning requires our defenses to soften so that something more honest can emerge.

And when it does, the work changes. Relationships change.
What once felt impossible becomes the new starting point.

"Alice is a rare combination of strategic and empathic. She understands both systems and people. I've experienced her use a combination of teaching, coaching, creative design, and collaborative problem solving to challenge and bring out the best in leaders and teams. If you want an experience that is effective and joyful, look no further."

Does your team or organization need…

  • Deep listening and communication skills: The kind where people actually hear what's said and what isn't, and can talk across difference without everyone getting defensive?

  • Help navigating tension and conflict: Disagreement doesn't have to fracture relationships, yet who taught us how to work through hard things while honoring people's humanity?

  • To learn how to learn together: Moving beyond training decks to genuine collaborative discovery?

  • Coaching skills for managers: So they can support growth without fixing, rescuing, or micromanaging?

  • Practice having difficult conversations: Naming hard truths while keeping dignity intact?

  • Stronger empathy and emotional intelligence: Accessing those human capacities that AI can't replicate?

  • Space to think creatively: We’ve learned that sometimes the best conversations happen with scissors and glue in hand?

If so, let's talk.

All of our work is hands-on, practice-based, and designed for real humans -with lots of grace and laughter along the way.

Every engagement starts with a conversation. Tell us what's alive in your organization right now and we'll figure out together what might help.
